Why, hello there lovely Limebird reader. We’re having ourselves a Limebird birthday! HUZZAH!

To celebrate, we thought we’d have a bit of a scavenger hunt! Gather one, gather all, gather your friends, gather your pets. Well, only gather your pets if they can take pictures for you, otherwise they will just sit there looking at you like you’re crazy. At least, my cat does when I ask him to take pictures of me…

Ahem, without further ado, I present to you the…

LIMEBIRD SCAVENGER HUNT

So, what is the scavenger hunt I hear you say? Well, the aim of the game is to complete as many challenges as possible. Each challenge is worth a certain amount of points, the more points you have, the more entries you get into the grand prize draw! Submit your entries to us via Facebook, Twitter, your blog or email! (More information down below)

THE PRIZES

1st Prize Winner

THE CHALLENGES

1. Take a picture of a bird. Bonus entry if you can get a lime in the picture as well. – (Worth 1 Entry)

2. Take a picture of someone reading a book. Bonus entry if they’re reading a Stephen King book. – (Worth 1 Entry)

3. Get a picture of yourself working on your latest writing project.  If you’re not currently working on something, get a picture of someone else writing. It could be a grocery list or the next greatest best-seller or anything in between! – ( Worth 2 Entries)

4. Find a picture online of Stephen King reading. – (Worth 1 Entry)

5. Get a picture of the moon’s reflection. (Worth 2 Entries)

6. Write limebirdwriters.co.uk on the sidewalk in chalk, or print the URL out and tack it up to a public bulletin board, and take a picture of it. Bonus entry if you can get a picture of someone reading it. – (Worth 3 Entries – 5 if you get a picture)

7. Take a picture of someone making something – dinner, the bed, art….anything! (Worth 2 Entries)

8. Have someone take a picture of you doing something you’re afraid of. Bonus entry if there is either a lime or a bird in the photo. (Worth 5 Entries)

9. Take a picture of something that inspires you. (Worth 2 Entries)

10. Write a Facebook or Twitter post about Limebird Writers and take a screenshot of it, or get a picture of you telling someone about Limebird Writers out in public.  (Worth 5 Entries)

11. Take a picture of someone dressed up as a character. (Worth 5 Entries)

12. Find a book themed clock (can be online). Bonus entry if you take a picture of yourself standing by a cuckoo clock. (2 Entries or 5 with the cuckoo clock)

13. Get a picture of a magician (can be online).  Bonus entry if you take the picture yourself. (Worth 2 Entries or 5 with the magician)

14. Take a picture of a fountain or a large body of water. Bonus entry if there is a bird in the water. (Worth 2 Entries or 5 with the bird)

15. Take a picture of a blank piece of paper in a beautiful location. Bonus entry if it’s an origami bird. Double bonus entry if there is a lime with it. (Worth 2 Entries or 5 with the bird, 7 with the lime as well)

THE RULES

  • There are a few ways you can submit your entries and these are them:Post each picture to your Facebook or Twitter account with the #LimebirdWriters hashtag , and tagging us so we can see, our Twitter is here , and our Facebook is here .  If you prefer, you can create a blog post with a link back to the Limebird Writers site. Or, you can send your entries to beth [ @ ] limebirdwriters.co.uk , it’s completely up to you! You can send them individually as you go, or in one lump sum it’s your choice.
  • Prizes cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative.
  • Competition is open internationally.
  • In the event that one prize may become unavailable for whatever reason, Limebird reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal value.
  • By submitting your pictures, you give Limebird permisson to use them in blog posts, Twitter posts or Facebook posts.
  • Limebird Writers are unable to win this competition, but please do take part and join in the fun!
  • Deadline is two weeks from today, have entries in by 11:59 PM BST on 15th October 2013
  • All winners will be chosen at random. The more entries you have, the more chance you have of being selected. Winners will be announced on 16th October 2013.
  • And most importantly, Let Your Creativity Fly!
